2026 Group Build

Putting it out there that perhaps the remaining stragglers on here could do a big group build in January
Try to get a super-inclusive topic that could incorporate us all and do a longer build time format to end of the year or so????
Me default topics seem to revolve around subjects from movies and or TV shows……that could cover many topics for all types of builder preferences
Comments and ideas welcome….

Boy (and Girl) racers
Any car or bike from high level motorsport. And if people are really up for it, have a poll on a specific kit and then everyone build it.

I would participate in any of the above, yes, even the cars and bikes because I'm a nice guy!

I saw a Mars Waterbomber enormous firefighting aircraft on a TV news program…So yep that would qualify for the GB and the rest of you wouldn’t have to make waterbombers. You could do a figure of the bloody reporter if you wanted!
I saw Indiana jones ride a horse fighting a WWI tank…you could make the tank, the horse or Indiana Jones. Or all of them.

Yes a truly generous offer and I would too....heck I'd even join IPMS just to be in that.

Also had a small thought.....Maybe a hero figure or a hero's vehicle either land, air or water based. The back story is a must and maybe something that isn't so well known to flesh it all out.

I've got a dalek, a couple of dinosaurs and a few spaceships in the stash that would fit into TV/Movies.

I guess F1 cars also fit as they've been on TV regularly since the 70s

And with a lot of war movies you might have the options of building the vehicle actually used or the vehicle it was supposed to be... the tanks in Battle of the Bulge sprang to mind

By 2026 I hope to have my Legion and other side interests under better control so I think I could be in on whatever is finalized, especially if I have a year to start/finish it!

Here are some more, perhaps generalized themes:

- Water Craft (any scale, boat, ship, plane, person, military or civilian, etc)

- Aircraft used in your Country (any period, military or civilian, any scale)

- Artillery (any scale, period, towed or self propelled, naval or land based, including air defense artillery (read misslies or gun))

- Racer (watercraft, aircraft, land (car or truck), any scale, any period, basically any competition vehicle)

In my past experience with group builds here and in other forums, part of the joy of the GB is the varying items being built still in the GB theme, so I think a broader subject would not only add interest, but also perhaps participation. Just my 2 cents....

I think most subjects have already been mentioned. But what about something Far East WW2 being as yesterday was 80th VJ Day anything land, air or sea.

Like the idea of something Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet, UFO, Space 1999 or anything from the Jerry Anderson stable, love his stuff.

70's F1 just love that, I can remember watching James Hunt wining the Japanese GP and world championship in 76, I was allowed to stay up and watch it!
