Revell Dassault Rafale M in 1:48 scale

Post by HamilkarBarkas »

This was mainly a test model in order to try the Ultimate washes properly. I see their biggest potential for aircraft models so i had to build one in order to test it :eeek:
The kit is very good, i like the overall level of detail. The plastic is a bit soft so you have to glue it carefully. I´m not good at aircraft models so forgive me the presence of some nasty seamlines. Next time it will be better i promise!

A video will follow in the next days, i just uploaded one so i want to give everyone the opportunity to watch it first. I don´t like to spam my own channel with videos.

The model shows the Rafale M #15 during the Operation Harmattan. It is part of Flotille 12F - R91 on Charles de Gaulle. It served over Libya in 2011

I´m amazed how cool the panel lines look thanks to the Ultimate washes! I mainly used "dark earth".

Thank you very much :)
What color wbash did you use?
I used dark dirt or what it is called? I think it was the darkest wash available.

That is superior work Michael. You can tell yourself that you aren't that skilled at aircraft... But pardon me...hooey!!!
That's fine work my friend.
It shows you as a well rounded modeller.
