Here is my first proper attempt at modelling, weathering and everything, please be gentle with me

It was raining earlier but I've just been outside and took some more shots apologies for the picture quality

The drums on the back are sculpted from milliput along with the sheeting in the side basket and the camoflague net is a gas lamp mantle

No need to be gentle mate. Cracking build and 1st class weathering. I'm near to finishing my first armour build, Tamiya T-62. A lot of trail and error but hey, that's where the fun is.

Wow! excellent job.
My Chieftain is sat in box next to desk and is next project.
I chose it after 30 years away from Modelling and mainly cuz its a vehicle that even now looks way ahead of its years. Whilst in Germany with the Fusiliers we were based next to 3RTR and apart from beast like Challengers firing up engines all day they had a couple of Chieftain tank Recovery.
Being a real 70's child the Chieftain still sends the hairs on my neck.
I'm going to wait until I finish my Airfix Jackal and then head long into the Chief. It keeps winking at me from on top of shelf.
I noticed whilst on net that you can get Photo-Etch kit for this vehicle so may purchase and have a go. It may end my short return back to modelling when trying to replace all the handles on the side skirts.
