Egg Paul and Lee help build an egg plane

Egg Paul is going to help with this kit. The F-86 Sabre, but I hope to do it as a US plane.

Egg Lee is going to help with the Mikoyan -15.

Paul and I removed these parts and sanded them smooth. There was a lot of flash on the parts.

I then painted the inside of the cockpit, seat and floor with Tamiya XF-54 Dark Sea Grey. The instructions called for these areas to be painted. I thought it would be easier to paint now rather then when everything was all together.

I will start glueing tomorrow night. Thanks for looking.

I got the fuselage together. The seams were not very good so I will need to do a lot of sanding and filling in areas.
I will glue on the wings after I sand the seams.

An hour later everything is sanded and filled. I put Mr Surfacer 500 over all the seams. I will sand them smooth tonight.

Last toilet joke on Lee, I promise.

After a lot of sanding I glued on the wings and glued the wing tanks together.

I painted the front intake and back exhaust Tamiya XF -1 black. I did this now because it would be hard to get to after I put the nose on.

I then painted the cock pit area Tamiya XF-54 Dark Sea Grey. I also masked the canopy. That took forever! I hope it turns out. I almost forgot I also glued the nose on.

I will put the instrument decals on tonight and then glue the canopy in place. I hope to have a coat of primer on it this weekend. I also primed the wheels.

Lee and I also started his plane. Since Paul is a plumber I asked him to try and fix the drain in the shower. I will add Lee's progress tomorrow.

It was on monday when i went back to fit the new bath and accidentally put my hand on the wall while putting the bath in position, and i can confirm the wall is very sticky

Lee finally is out of the bathroom. Here is a picture of the Mikoyan-15 just in case you forgot.

We detached all the fuselage and seat. Everything is sanded.

We painted the inside because you will be able to see the inside once everything is put together.

This is a picture of the fuselage put together. We masked the part of the nose where it needed to stay black. We will remove this later. Lee is so smart. I would have forgot to do that. Wheres Lee?

All put together. Sorry for the long post but Lee and I had to work fast to get this done. We will paint tonight and have an update tomorrow. Thanks.
