Welcome to the club!!

I used to use the revell "needle glue", and i still use it every now and then when a longer drying period is needed (read: mistakes), but tamiya extra thin is THE glue. :thumb2:

It's amazing stuff indeed! I started using it a few weeks ago after using the old traditional Humbrol type glue - what a difference, so much easier. I also have given Mr Cement S a try (as I had to order the Tamiya Extra Thin from Hong Kong and thought it'd take a while to get here) and found that it, IMHO, that is just as good, in some respects a little nicer to use as the fumes aren't as offensive.
Currently On The Bench/Humbrol Modelling Tray:
Airfix 1:72 Hawker Typhoon
Airfix 1:32 Mini Cooper S

Man Stash:
Airfix 1:72 Spitfire Mk.IXc
Airfix 1:48 Messerschmitt Bf109E-4/E-1

Still use plenty of ventilation with it. If you dont you will get a nasty headache. Well I do anyway if I dont have some air flow. But that stuff is awesome!

Tamiya extra thin is pretty good, and you get to know how to use it best quite quickly before it evaporates before your very eyes when brushing on large wing joint areas in big models :)

You keep dipping into the bottle for more as fast as it drys out on large gluing surfaces ... and totally wrong way to use it of course :)

Its pretty good though once you work out what to do and the timing of it all:)

I've tried Mr Cement a lot recently and find it more than as good as Tamiya extra thin personally.

And Mr Cement seems a bit more cheaper to buy in my native country UK too if you know where to look.

These new UK postage restrictions are hindering everyone here for glue, even water based acrylic paint ... and its nonsense.

My parcel postages posts have gone sky high too.

I still remember the first time I made the switch from the old tube glue to Tamiya Extra Thin, It was a mind blowing experience for me. I couldnt sit still for days I was so excited and thrilled by the new experience and how it changed my model building experience forever more. :eeek:

tamiya extra thin and CA kicker imho has made the hobby so much more fun. As well as the advances in airbrushing. It is a completely different hobby than it was 20years ago.
