You are most welcome Sir. I would opt for something less permanent than putty though

play dough is not an option. It'll leave some color of the 'clay' on the white. Even if you leave it only for an hour.
I spray the wheel bays after the underside has been sprayed. Just mask the whole underside of the wing an then cut out or leave the wheel bay free.
Masking the canopy I do with non permanent spray glue and aluminium foil (the thinest I can get in any shop) Works well, however had an issue with some clear parts turning misty on one of the planes I've made. Couldn't find the cause of this, but I polished it away and it turned out OK in the end. If masks are included as in the Eduard kits, I use that mask. Sometimes I just mask it with masking tape. Depends on my mood at that moment
Tip : to avoid masking the wheel bays you can also choosse a paint scheme using a full white underside (like the early grey-white and Asia camo schemes)

But the start of this SIG is getting closer. The world will be filled with some more nice build F-4 models soon

I have some double sided sticky tape that would hold the door on or just fold over my 3M tape...it is low tac so wont leave residue.
Not an expert aircraft modeller by any means, so appreciate all the help guys

That's the spirit gents. Paying a tribute to the F-4 and having fun whilst doing it is the name of the game.

Yup the start of the SIG is just around the corner. With the shout out on the last News Show looks like it could be a busy one too. So Guy and myself will have our work cut out for us. As we are also joining in on the building fun. I'm still waiting on the arrival of the major resin conversion and update parts from the US. Hopefully they will show up in time to make the start of the SIG. I do have all the stuff for my base here so I just might have to start on that.

*gasp* I need to order some decals! It's almost October!

I just discovered a little decal booboo myself. Contacted the people of IsraDecal which might be able to help with some surplus decals. Also my GT Resin came in this week so I'm now only waiting on my Brassin Mk.7's to come in. Should have enough aftermarket to fill up the coffee table nicely.

Like Green Day sang in one of their songs "wake me up when September ends" now on a more serious note. My resin Mk7's are held up due to German trafić laws (no trucks allowed on the autobahn in the weekend) grrr... My decal booboo has also been sorted thanks to the efforts of the nice people of IsraDecal apparently they also use to do a set for the F-4E (IAF 39). That set has been sold out for a long time. However the owner has found the decal sheet I need in his spares / service bin and is going to send it to me with the instructions covering the nose, intakes and slated wings. Big whoop whoop for customer service.

As I'm still waiting on some parts to arrive I'm silently hoping for some longer days at the end of September

If you got a job sorted out, you'll have more resources for your hobby.

This SIG isn't going anywhere Lynn, You'll have plenty of time to join in. So good luck on the job interview from me also

The New Topic button is on the upper left in red

When you hit that you get a screen with a subject box where you put in your build's name and then post away into the square below into your own private thread that certain miscreants will be sure to hassle you in and post silly things like pictures and gifs and such

If you need to change the name of your thread to update it or something later, you edit your first post and the subject box comes up again so you can do so

Oh and modify your personal info so we know where you are from and hassle your upbringing and nationality appropriately
