Right! So after last weeks shananigans of having to pull things apart to rebuild and add on

I finally got to work on the gearbox and rear suspension. Now apologies in advance as this will be a big
Update with lots of pics. No issues to speak of as this was fairly straightforward but periodic checking
Of the fit between gear box and engine is required so as not to trap or entangle any pipes or wires.....

Ok so that finishes up three quarters of the build with the exception of the radiators and intercoolers + some
Ancillary wiring the mechanicals are just about done. So one more week and I'll start on the body.

Cannot find the words that do justice to this build mate

struggling with the 956 at the moment had to put it away before it got launched across the work bench the whole back end is miles out one engine frame is about 6mm shorter than the other not one of MFH's best me thinks.

Ah, geeze oh MF ! The detail is absolutly sublime, just fantastic !!! I could almost have bought two of these kits with what i've spent on the Enzo. What was i thinking

Thanks for the kind words mate, sorry you're having struggles with fittment. Even with this 126 C2 I've had to fabricate
Some bits to improve alignment but don't give up on her as the detail in the finished product is immensely satisfying.
These kits certainly push the old skills.

Lol cheers Johnj, although I think you will end up with one of the best looking Enzo's out there. And while every
Conceivable detail comes with these MFH kits, the trade off is the materials used makes building a lot more
Difficult and fit isn't like Tamiya but that's half the fun as it wouldn't be nearly as satisfying if it was too easy.

Ok. So I need to vent a little............ so I tried a little test fit of all the parts so far........ the body to what is essential
A finished chassis with all the mechanicals done......... everything is off by less than an eighth of an inch......

It nearly became an ex project as I wanted to determine it's aerodynamic properties as I launched it with a home made
Trebuchet......

It's looks awful! And can't be covered up as its glaringly obvious. So........

I now have to breakdown most of the build
To get to the two pieces that can get rid of the gaps, fix the paint then pray to the modelling gods that it fits...... again.....

Seriously though I hope you can rectify without too much aggro I feel your pain mate, maybe we have a joint MFH kit throwing contest see who can launch it the furthest, cause my Porsche has come close to becoming a space shuttle replica several times.

Thanks for the encouragement fellas. Taking a week off the build has been helpful as I think I have nutted out a solution.
I'm just glad I decided not to solder certain parts and use CA glue instead as I would never have gotten it broken down.
As it stands I'll have to use acetone to dissolve the CA but it also means that the paint will get damaged as well.
What can you do though, live and learn!

I will still post some progress pics later today of of everything leading up to Fitgate as it will probably take a week to get back
On track with the build.

It was at this stage when I put the under tray on and realised the somthing didn't quite
Jibe. I tried to fit the upper cowel on and...... nope 1/8ths out.

I do feel for you but how good does it all look ! The detail for those hose clamps !!!! Just amazing.
I have been looking at this years ferrari F1 car, the monaco version but it's curbside which is really dissapointing especially for that kind of money. What do you think ?

Thanks Johnj, and I think I have fixed the fit issue but I'll post more about that later. As for that 2017 Ferrari, it is a bit rich
For a curbside but as you don't get 1/12 in most plastic kits to often this would build up to a really nice kit.

You know you never cut the red wire right?! Lol, it's just excess that will spit off to the control box port side and to the
Ignition box in the cockpit. There is a split connector that will go to the rain light, starboard side ecu and battery......
But more on that later.

Right! So I have finally fixed the fit issue plaguing this build. I have also managed to button up the final wiring
And rear wing assembly. So the offending article.....

You're not wrong there. I had to chase down that problem through several paths and
I dead ended a few times before that simple fix presented it self. And that wing was
One of the few things that didn't fight to go on lol! Even so I've enjoyed this build
Immensely.

Ok, so a small update on this one as the mucous monster has floored me for most of the week and sooooo
Close to the end too! Now do you ever get the feeling that dust and fluff particles are organised and determined
To get on every #%^*£<~ surface! It's a conspiracy I tell ya! Any way these are the last bits of the build......

So just a little addendum, I noticed that the supposed mr colour Italian red "gloss" isn't exactly "gloss" and has dried
Rather rough a more than a little matt. Not a problem with the mix or the airbrush (possibly the operator)

Just a bad batch of paint that's gone off on the shelf of my supplier. So what to do? As I was possibly looking down
The barrel of a strip and repaint, I took a closer look at a new gloss clear rattle can I was given as a sample to try....
Holy crap! This stuff is the bomb diggety! Not only has it smoothed out the paint but in just the first sweep has given
It a really nice finish before any polishing. It's new (to me at least) and called "mr super clear uv cut". Now it's not your
Regular mr gloss clear in the blue can, the self leveling is fantastic but it is a hot paint and designed to go over
Mr colour solvent based paint and has great adhesion. Not for mr aqueous water base paints as it's too aggressive.
Highly recommend and I think my new go to top coat!
