Thanks everyone, I continue to crawl towards a final point wherever that ends up being! Unfortunately things keep getting in the way including a potential Parkinsons diagnosis which is being delayed by covid (.I have to say I am.in no rush for the answer tbh... ) back to the important stuff...

As having decided to do this in 1/48th I then discovered the lack of preformed diorama stuff in that scale so I continue down the O gauge train stuff (1/43 bah!) This is a card building, my first and it seems ok as the base is 18" square

Never done anything in paper or card since my paper aeroplane days.They are well printed, can they be weathered at all ?

Nice work with those buildings too - my brother uses them extensively on his railway layout but I'd never thought about using them for a 1/35 dio before...

an interesting idea I hadnt though of either, heres a photo below with left to right O gauge - 1/48th and 1/35

Paul, I'm really sorry and saddened to here about your protentional health and other personal issues. Extremely difficult I appreciate, but would try and encourage only protentional at this stage health wise.

None of the above appears to be effecting your modelling skill, the build is really coming together mate, following very closely

A bit more progress made, it does take weathering a bit but I haven't pushed my luck...
