1/72 Panzer commander

Hi all,

I'm new to AFV modelling, (in fact I haven't actually started on yet) and was wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere where I could get a 1/72 panzer commander (well for a StuG actually). Every set I can find is mostly soldiers lounging on the tank and I wanted just the one figure (half actually as I don't care if he has legs or not), preferably looking through binoculars or shouting or some pose similar.

Any ideas?

All I can see that would remotely fit the bill is these guys, I know there not tank commanders but maybe you could alter them accordingly?

Try www.shqminiatures.co.uk . They make war games figures and I think you can get half figure tank commanders. Also give www.mms-models.co.uk a go. They make some nice white metal vehicles and also figures. Hope this helps.

My suggestion for a tank commander figure would be either CMK (they have some resin figures, quite expensive but great) and Preiser.
Preiser figures are not that expensive and need to be assembled a bit like their 1:35 scale counterparts. This gives you the freedom to position the limbs as you wish to give them a realistic fit on the tank model.
