Cloudy canopy

Post by Scottwba »

Hi, just began to look at the canopy for my italeri su-34 & I've noticed that the canopy is cloudy looking, almost like it has some kind of residue on it, I've tried cleaning with soap, sanding liquid & dipping in future but no luck, any ideas how I can clean this off?.
Thanks Scott.

Did it arrive in the kit cloudy? If so, I'm not sure it can be saved. Seems like it would be an issue with the plastic at the molding process.

If it came cloudy, I would contact the manufacturer and see if you can get a replacement.

I was thinking that, thought I could get away with it but think it may ruin the kit.

if you dipped it in Future ? ... you should strip it.... first to find out if its the plastic ?
Dip in in Windex... and let it soak ! when the future has Run down off it.... then check the original part...

Did you buy the kit new ? :cheers2:

Yea I stripped it back & it was the problem with the actual plastic, just waiting for an answer from Italeti about a replacement part.
