Badger stynylrez primer would appear to be the best all-round primer

For me it depends.. for acrylic Badger is definitely the best.. But over all i still think Mr Surfacer 1500 cant be beat. Just have to remember Mr Surfacer is a lacquer based paint so you need a good extractor..

Hands down the Tamiya Spray can primer (fine). Awesome stuff, lasts you about 5-6 1/35 tanks for $11 aud.
Also Games workshop have a huge can of Black primer (Chaos Black) and is very very good too.

Awesome spray coverage. easy to find. Easy no mess, no airbrush cleaning hassle. dries in about 10-15 mins

Hey having worked for a paint company for eleven years I'm telling you Krylon spray primer - No runs, no drips, no errors . Any of these other "model branded primers" Tamiya, -testers or whatever label they have you are buying mostly a can of propellant with a little paint included - they all stink and suck ass at the same time. Has to be Krylon Branded paint and yes it was Krylon I worked for.

It took me awhile to get this - I haven't had tv for twenty years or so - thought the guy on the bottom was a Romulan, my brother corrected me.

As for the tape - I'm looking on the black market for it.

Used to feel that same way, until their quality went to crap about four years ago..............don't know what happened, but it's just not the standard it used to be.
Tamiya fine white for me, or Badger.

Halford's rattle can grey car primer for me. I don't think it's better than other good quality air brushed primers but it's very good, dries very quickly and for convenience factor you can't beat it. Lasts ages as well for around £7.
