105 sherman

hey guys, since I can't figure out the you tube crap, I'll just post my build here. this is my 105 Sherman most of it is Tamiya, some dragon, a company, tiger model designs, formations, and scratch built the rest, anyway hope you like.

had a Tamiya kit, I got it from a model show one year, and I had SO much stuff left over from other builds, bogies, turrets, tracks, really odd's and ends tracks too some I've never seen before anyway, I thought I need to Frankenstein a kit,

here's what I got my idea from.



did the connection points on all the Sherman's bow machine gun weather covers.

Looks good. Like the extra work done on the cupola. Will be following this one.

got nuts with the squad putty it was dry. anyway had to remove the rear engine deck and rear bulkhead that hides the exhaust. had to shorten the rear of thank to match photo. had these parts like full housing in parts box.







no company makes the proper eyelets for tow cables. and I don't know if I will again. ugh

Thanks smiffy, I might have to scratch build an ammo trailer, cause a lot of pictures show ammo trailer on the 105 tanks. Verlinden make one but it's way to big. Anyway thanks.

ok, after getting to this part, I knew I had made some mistake's, I had made the grab handles in the up position, and sense I was not going to use them for tie offs I had to change them or hide them with storage. also I had individual tracks but I also have a truck load of DS tracks, and I was going to use the steel cleat. but I have the rubber soul track in DS, I wanted that look, but added the steel cleat to the spare track holder on the rear of the tank. I'm not going to change it. hope you like.

Sorry to hear about your computer. The model is looking great though.
It looks like there is member galleries further down the main page for finished work

If your computer is stopping after a while ...check it is not over heating....lots of fluff an dust around fans and the heatsinks. You may have to take cover off if it is a desktop.
