Ammo by Mig paint

Post by WReid »

Has anyone here order Ammo by Mig paint and had it shipped to Canada? The reason I ask is I order some of their acrylic paints ( no enamel products ) directly from Spain . They were shipped to Canada by Swiss Post. The tracking shows the order arrived in Canada Saturday January 23 2016 and by Monday January 25th my order was on its way back to Spain. It says there was a delivery attempt but that is impossible as the order arrived in Toronto and mail from Toronto to my address is 4 to 5 days. The delivery attempt is noted as being the same day the order arrived in Canada January 23rd. The postal code listed for the delivery attempt is not even my postal code.

Either Canada Customs denied my order entry into Canada or something strange is going on. I have contacted Ammo by Mig about the problem but I was wondering if anyone else has order paint from them from Spain and received it.

I live in the UK and ordered stuff from them in Spain. On the tracking I watched the parcel go through Europe to Germany, then back to Spain before eventually ending up with me. Not sure if the package did actually do the journey as per the tracking, or if there was some weirdness going on in the tracking system, but it did arrive a few days late. Maybe contact the courier rather than Mig??

Yeah I think this is more an issue for Ammo or the courier to answer. I know that Lee orders from Ammo direct, but he is within Spain so probably faces less issues.

I order from ammo in Spain two or three times a year and haven't had a problem. It takes forever to get my orders though. Canada's customs have no issues with acrylic paints, so that's not the problem.
If the package was mislabeled or the paperwork supplied by ammo was wrong then customs would block it and either contact you, return it whence it came, or destroy it depending on thier mood. (All three have happened to me... That's how I know)
I'm in Nova Scotia and it notprmally takes 2 to 2 1/2 months for orders from Mig to arrive.
That that tracking is wacky too. Most of the time I just see it sitting somewhere in Germany until it shows up in my mail box.
I'd still contact them and ask what was going on, but thier customer service is not so great because of lauguage barriers.

If you're on the west side of the Atlantic try ordering from Ammo of Mig Jimenez USA. The web site is ammomigjimenez-usa.com The service is good, generally ships the day the order is received. Had one problem and it was addressed and solved to my satisfaction within hours of sending an e-mail.
