I decided to open a second front and enter a second build to this SIG.

Trumpeter 1/48 SU-9U Maiden,,,,I always liked the odd two seaters





going to build this profile, Bort Number 42, only because the numbers are blue !


started on the nose.. although there were no instructions to add weight to the nose. this has a longer fuselage length then most.. so no tail sitter here



added the split shot weights , then added some CA glue mixed in.. then topped off with white/blu tac


painted the cockpit interior

Started the detail painting in the cockpit.

slow progress on the SU-9U finished the cockpit and installed. A lot more work to closeup the fuselage. there are 5 pieces that all have to align perfectly to get the fuselage to align and close up properly. the Shock Cone, the fwd cockpit, aft cockpit, the fwd nose wheel well and the engine. I just have the aft fuselage closed . waiting for that to cure before proceeding to the front and try to get everything aligned.

Top class pit. I agree about those early Russian two seaters, they always look a bit quirky to me.
