Eduard 1/72 MiG-15 Royal Class

Post by MarkVerploeg »

Hi guys

So following up on my tiny buildthread of these MiG's here is the tiny reveal
I didn't snap that many pictures of them but i think there is less to see then with a plane in a larger scale

So here are 4 MiG-15's frim this kit
Image
This is the UTI or 2 seater trainer also know as the Midget
I build is as part of the Russian GB

Image
This is a Bis version flown by the North Korean airforce

Image
This is the second Bis from the kit
It is a North Korean plane aswell but was flown by a Soviet pilot and was based in China

Image
And this is the early version in the markings of the Romanian airforce

Image
And here they are with the goodies from the box (the glass and the stand with a piece of metal from a real MiG) on their own little shelf in the display cabinet

And that is all i have for this
Thanks for stopping by and having a look
Untill next time
Cheers ,Mark

Really nice collection Mark. Amazing what you can do with the same kit.

Thank you
I think that is a advantage of the Soviet made planes
They where used all over the world and many countries started to camouflage them according to their own needs
So you end up with a huge amount of possibilities
But these where 3 different kits in the box
You get 1 early version , 2 bis versions wich where slightly upgraded planes and a UTI 2 seat trainer
But they all are MiG-15's
But if you look at a plane like the MiG-21 then you have a insane amount of possible builds as there where over 40 countries that used them
That number later even went up and then there where all the different versions like the PM ,PMF, Bis and SMT (and a few more)
But it is prettt fun to see a few different ones next to eachother

Great collection Mark! I've ended up with 10 MiG-15s and loads of aftermarket for them, your builds are a excellent source of inspiration.

Thank you Ed
I have enough with these 4
The after market was okay but i snapped one of the seats and the external tanks where mixed up
I had a right wing tank twice and no left wing tank
I do jave a big collection of a single subject but that is the Tiger 1
Building the same plane 10 times would take the fun out of it for me

Thanks
That was the thoughest one to get the decals on
The lightning bolt wss a bit thick and just as long as the plane so that took some work
