Why do you always make your cool group builds a You Tube or Google Plus only thing? Why not just make it a Non-ISM SIG build right here on this web site so more people can participate?

Didn´t it say it can be done on YT and Google+ alike? And would that stop people from saying "oh no, now i have to sign up on either YouTube or ISM or both to take part in this?" I am not organizing this thing but certainly nothing stops you from sharing your stuff here, i do not see why it needs its own section on this forum. Just go ahead and do it

Yep i agree and stopping people taking part and leaving ISM members out of it is what i had a problem with, I'm sure you understand.

Let me know what numbers are interested in taking part from your side and if theres enough we will open a section for you

Having it represented here makes sense in ways. I initially heard about ISM from one of Michael's videos. I'm sure back then that was often the case for armor modelers.

Im reviewing it for Armorama, they look like modelkasten clones. Just briefly looked in the box though.

dude you must think I am some sort of "track" freak? Every question I have to you is always about the tracks - FYI I only ask because I am going to buy the kit and if it has those damn rubber band tracks then I need to get aftermarket tracks.

It could be my stupidity or lack of political correctness but it is possible to post new treads in the SIG section on the forum. I did so by accident the other day trying to post my thread for the Pacific GB. You might get a reply or a PM from Schoof asking what its all about but if you explain it to Sebastian I don't think he will object. He like Paul might put the youtube or google + part to question but if ISM members can join in on the SIG a thread in the appropriate section seems to be the next logical step...

If we get 20+ ism members that will post updates on the forum, we will set up a section, its not worth setting up a section otherwise and build updates can be posted in the appropriate build section instead. Ive got an upcoming buddy build and I'm not even going to bother with a sig section for that as it doesnt have enough participants to warrant it

Seems like an appropriate and reasonable number if you ask me. I personally don't build armour models. I also stand with my namesake in his decision on this topic. Let's face it the SIG and GB section on ISM is not meant to be a bulletinboard for all SIG's and GB's held and or hosted by other sites.

For now I'm off to bed as today's non modeling mammoth airbrush session has worn me out and want to be semi fresh for tomorrow's continuation of it.

I think you're missing the point. I believe Andy's intentions were to have more people hear about and take part in the build in honor of Michael, who is admittedly one of the largest influences most of us armor guys that make or watch videos have. I assumed there would be an extension or segment of ISM people doing their thing with the same goal in honor of the same guy. Not google+ guys coming here to post work they were already doing. That would be stupid. And if you don't mind me asking, if you don't build armor models why on earth are you commenting on this topic? You've only been on ISM for like a month, so maybe you should chill buddy.

Good, it seems like we agree on something. So we do it in the normal way with build threads in the "work in progress section" just as it was intended by me. I do not remember who brought up the hassle with the SIG, i probably should not have dared to asked that in the first place.

Theres no hassle with a sig, but its pointless setting one up when only maybe 3 -4 ism members will actually post on the forum. My original problem was i thought it cheeky to post on a forum (that OP doesnt even post on anymore) about a build you cant even take part in on ISM, I'm sur you can see my point.

No i said if you get the number needed it'll be set up, whats hard to understand about that, like i said I'm not setting up a dedicated section for 5 people to build in as its not worth it.

I've moved this thread to the relevant section.

Now, Instead of setting up a dedicated forum for the GB/SiG how about a dedicated "thread" as Michael suggested on the first page? Win/win in my humble opinion

Let me know if everyone is in agreement and we can set up the thread, sticky it and Michael can post all about it and the rules/guidelines and timescales etc. With members posting their progress etc in smaller stages than they usually would. When the SiG is finished Michael or Andy can pull the reveal shots from here and include them in their reveal video.

Sound OK with everyone?
