Decal again!

Post by Kevthemodeller »

Hi all

I'm having trouble finding US ammo crate decals like these Image

All I can find are these https://www.historexagents.com/shop/hxp ... de=AR77009 which are for the metal boxes or so they appear.

Anyone know where I can find the type I'm looking for?

Same answer again ;) my go to decal company for this would be Archer Fine Transfers from the US.

http://www.archertransfers.com/AR35307.html Is their set for US WW II AMMO Crates, Tins and magazines.

Their UK dealers are Historex Agents, SB Models and DCC Supplies Ltd.

Hope this helps you out Kevin,

Paul

Hi Paul

The link I posted above is Historex and they're are Archers, they're what I need for the ammo boxes but not for the crates/wooden boxes, in the picture the ammo boxes come in.

Hi Digger thanks for that mate. The first link is for modern and the second 25pounder.

As I said above I've found what I need for the metal ammo boxes, what I need is the decals for the wooden crates the ammo boxes came in just like in the picture these have ammo shapes in the middle of the wording. Here's other pictures showing them on a model so they do exist or did somewhere.

Hi Digger

Thanks for that mate the second link Hudson & Allen have apparently gone out of business! I've searched trying to find a shop with stock but no luck it's so bloody frustrating, it really is the whole build is now on hold :wall: I'm waiting on a set of fury decals for the M4 from Poland like a twit I added a few other bits the the order as it was cheaper than buying in the UK, those bits are out of stock should be in this week. Ever tried to explain you need just part of the order now and send the rest later in Polish............ :wall: :wall: :wall: To be fair he's doing his best, more worrying he's not answered my email of this week asking if my order has been dispatched :wall: I finally got the tow cable and paint for the canvas now I've hit another :wall: with these decals I can't seal and start weathering until I've got all the above.

So I'll start the figures from Bravo 6 Fury me thinks, they took a month or so to find but finally got all 5, then my CA dries up :wall: reorder got the stuff on Wednesday I ordered an AK face painting set same time. Get told today there out of stock :wall: reorder from another shop be next week now :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

Bump just knocking this back to the top just in case someone knows where I can get hold of them, this is stopping the build to some extent!

One of the Tamiya Shermans has the K rations decals. The kit comes with stowage and 3 US infantry figures.

EDIT - just realised you're not after the K rations decals.

Sorry mate
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

If you were willing to buy the boxes just to get the decals, how about these on ebay?
