What would you like to see in plastic ?

Post by longlance67 »

Hi All,

have a question I would like to put out to you, If you could ask any model company to build any subject from any time period in plastic what would it be ?

For me I would love DML to make 1/35 world war figures and the armor

what would you wish for ?

tell me what you think,

Shane.

I know that they exist, but I would like to see more availability of the C-47 Skytrain. I've been dying to get my hands on one, but they're a rare find and when you do find one they're really expensive.

I think a good Blackburn buccaneer in 1:48 would be great yes I know there is the airfix one but its a but of a nightmare so a modern tooling would go down very well.

I know they've been done (not very well) in the past but I'd like to see a decent company like Dragon or Tamiya do some things form the film Aliens.
Like a 1/35 APC
a 1/35 Ripley in the Power lifter
and a 1/48 or 1/35 (would be huge) Dropship
and of course a full set of the Marines in 1/35 with some aliens too.

That would blow me away.

I would like Airfix to make a 1/48 Angel Interceptor and Eduard to a PE set for it as well as the whole range of spectrum vehicles and characters in 1/48.

I also think World War One is underrepresented in 1/35 as are British WW2 Troops :)

If they came out I would be a happy and poor man

Some modern British troops in 1/35 would be good. There are numerous 1/35 modern British AFVs, but no troops to go with them on diorama's. I think an Afghan themed Warrior IFV, full RPG mesh etc, pulled up with a section of troops busting out the back would be awesome!

I'd second the Prometheus stuff :th:

Also in 1/32 Aircraft, would like to see a new tool GR1 Harrier for memory's of my teens in RAF Wildenrath in Germany, new tool GR-4 Tornado, Buccaneer, Jaguar for my current memory's near RAF Lossiemouth, where I'd put them I don't know ? but would worry about that later.

What about a 1/32 Sea King too? with folded rotor blade option it would be doable and displayable.

Tamiya 1/12 Blue Rizla Suzuki MotoGP Bike and lots more 80's street bike Superbikes like Honda CBX1000 six and same in 1/6 too.

I don't ask for much do I :nena:

One things for sure, Tamiya, Trumpeter and co don't have to worry about running out of new subject matter for a very very long time.

Defo stuff from aliens, the marines dropship and APC and the loader robot machine thing. I know the kits exist but they are rare as hell and costly.

For me I would love to see some 70 & 80's fords mk1 and 2 escorts, mk3 rs1600i, series 1 and 2 rs turbo's etc.

The one kit I would love to have is revels mk2 escort, I remember walking past one a few years ago in hobby craft and kick myself for not buying it as they are rare now and fetch over £50

Esci used to do a Mk 2 Ford Escort RS rally car in Eton Yale blue and Rothmans white, and a clear skin one too, but rare as they come,
I doubt they could do the Rothmans one any more cos of the advertising
but would love to see one in 1/24
and the 70s & 80s JPS F1 cars, with the full gold decals , certainly wouldn't make me start smoking lol
would be good to see a series of rally cars from the 70's to present day, I know Tamiya did quire a few but not so may about now, Quattro is another like gold but it was a but of a crude kit, ho hum we can all dream

A nice new tooling RAF Chinook in 1/48 scale.

From one of the better kit companies the Italeri really doesn't cut it without a lot of work.

I´d like to see in plastic a Panzerkampfwagen III A (there is only an expensive resin model available). Apart from that i´m happy already, Most brands still present us new Wehrmacht vehicles every year.

It would be good to see that Mk 2 Escort released again. The Revell model is a re-release of the old ESCI kit.

I would like to see some old British Trucks released in 1/24(1/25 even). Emhar released the old Bedford. It would be good to see some more types to go with it.

I am somewhat surprised that there has never been a 1/24(1/25) Morris Minor. Revell could always make use of some of the engine parts from their Mini Cooper to use for a late model Minor.

A 1/48 Dragon Rapide would be rather nice.

I'm a huge starcraft fan so I would love to see any figure or even a ship (battlecrusier, carrier, etc) in either 1/24 or 1/35 scale. I've been coming across a lot of paper models of these, but a plastic one would just seal the deal.
