Yamaha Tech 3

Post by Davethepitch »

Hi all

This has been a bit of a struggle for me as i have had a big problem with decals and the bottom cowl keeps falling off as i have not been as accurate with my building ability through lack of concentration and a lot of hand painting as my airbrush is playing up and I just need to fit the brake hoses and i think it is done.

Even with all your problems, looks ace dude.

As you may have read in other topics I HATE decals in general but especially Tamiya ones, I've tried several different companies setting solutions and am even waiting on a bottle of Solvaset to try and master them.

Keep up the good work and it'll come right in the end. :-)

Nice looking build there Dave, decals can be a real pain especially on race bikes so many complex curves and the older Tamiya decals were like cardboard very difficult to get to conform, if you can get hold of some of the Daco decal softeners their strong solution is what I use along with a hair drier it helps to soften them and heat shrink them down even on tricky shapes.
