I ordered a few bits from E-models on Friday and was a bit concerned they hadn't shipped by yesterday. They're excellent normally so I emailed the site asking for clarification and got a telephone call at 7.40 in the evening from one of their team in response.

He apologised and said the order would be in the post today. He said the team were dealing with a huge amount of orders (why he was there at 7.40 in the evening) but that it was no excuse. We had a good chat about this and that and I got a nice follow up email confirming the position.

That's what I call customer service. I'm glad they're busy, we need more companies like this.

Nice touch. I needed to speak to someone at Virgin Trains about something yesterday. Found out to my amazement that you can't swap aural communication with another human now. Has to be e mail. Bit tomtit if you ask me.

Yep I'd second this sentiment; they dug me out of a big hole in the run up to Christmas when another supplier left me with three days to go before letting me know that the order I'd placed late in November wasn't going to materialise after all.
