"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?" - A NEW SEGMENT OF FRIDAY NIGHT'S ISM LIVE "AT THE BENCH" SHOW!

* Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, April 14th*

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show. Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.

02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.

03). Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long.

04). Also, have only one project shown in the image per member each week. Again, this prevents prolific builders from dominating this segment and making this segment longer than it needs to be.

05). Along with your image, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).

06). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.

07). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

08). There will be a posted thread similar to this one on the ISM Forums. PLEASE post your work only in ONE of these. This will prevent us from having to sort through duplicate posts on both sites.

After the the live crew shows what they have been working on during the week, participating member's images and details will then be shown. This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew. :-)

The Academy M-18 Hellcat 'Battle of Nancy' Vignette
The hellcat was painted in H78 Olive Drab and weathered using Mig Ammo Pigments and a Ultimate Dark Dirt Wash. I also scratch built some stowage using milliput.
The Miniart US Tank Crew figures were poor as they were covered in flash and out of proportion (Huge arms, small head). I replaced the heads with some spare Tamiya ones.
The base is a block of wood painted in Ultimate Black primer, covered in Clay and then Tamiya Texture Paint, Pigments and scatter grasses for the groundwork. The Tree is a WWS Seafoam tree :)

Howdy all!

Throwing this together for fun. Starting to look like an airplane.

Tamiya 1/48 J2M3 Raiden "Jack"

No aftermarket (whole kit cost me $12 and is completely out of box.)

Ultimate Black primer
XF-70: Dark Green 2 for the top.
XF-80/76: Royal Light Grey/Grey Green IJN for the bottom.
Various details in MM Acrylic range and Tamiya XF-range.
Tons of Microsol.

Hopefully I can finish this by Saturday morning as I plan to enter it into a model contest held locally.

This weeks update...

Revell 1:48 AH-64D/WAH-64D Longbow Apache - It's an oldish kit with a lot of flash issues on the older sprues with the worst culprits being the rotor head and the cockpit seats. Anywhere where there was tiny details with gaps between.

Building it as the AAC WAH-64D even though the rocket pods are the wrong ones. Paint is almost exclusively Tamiya on this one and not much in the way of colour variations. It's green(ish) XF-51 Khaki Drab and black(ish) XF-69 NTAO Black.

Image

Just putting the last few lumps and bumps on, a few touch ups of paint required in places and then it's gloss coat time.

Cheers,

Brian
I just added another one to the, "What the HELL was I thinking list..."

Continuing on with my Eggplane SIG build of the Hasegawa P-51 Mustang. All primed with Stynylrez and ready for Tamiya paints. Got a start on the pilot and he's looking egg-cited to get flying!

Thanks!

More work on my Winter is Coming Dio. The house is from the Miniart Budapest set, and I finished the shell back in Jan-Feb - walls are all painted with Vallejo modelair, and the roof is Ultimate red oxide primer just washed with a grime wash. This week I've been working on the woodwork, the frames are all brush painted with Andrea blues, and the glass is cut from a blister pack. The bicycle is from Masterbox and after a Ultimate black primer has been brush painted brush painted with the frame picked out in Andrea field grey (shade 2), the spokes in Vallejo metalcolor steel, the leather is Scale75 brown leather washed with Vallejo black wash and the tyres are Tamiya rubber black. The front lamp was drilled out and had a couple of dabs of Vallejo water effect dropped in to form a lens (hadn't tried this before and it may need a couple more dabs to bring it out properly). Figures, rubble and snow to be added.

Cheers, Neil

I know it's a little late but when I tried to post earlier today the site had some problems
Anyway! I present you my new project: Hasegawa's 1/35 ZAXIS 135US (Hitachi Excavator)

I've wanted a construction vehicle in 1/35 scale since a long time, but for some reason they're hard to find. I hope manufacturers tackle this market, because there's enough (if not a lot) of interest, IMO

This is what I've done so far:

More updates (and detailed video) coming soon! :cheers2:
