Looks very nice, I guess it must be an enjoyable kit at the speed you are building it.

Nice subject. Have something similar in my stash. A kit conversion of 3.7cm Flak and Opel maultier. Looking forward to seeing the build up, as I have never built a kit from Revell. Sssh . . . don't tell anyone :)

Agree! Great safe on that flash suppressor! :th:
If I may give a little tip? Try to spray a couple of thin layers with the airbrush.
Don't hold your brush too long at one point, and keep distance to your work. :D
Your progress is looking good, and great job on that winter camo! :thumb1:

I spray the clear coat right after the details are painted, then I'll add the decals.
Next I'll do my washes, First a general wash to hit all the recessed detail, then a pin wash to get anything that I missed and to hit all the bases of the raised details.
Then a flat coat,
Next I'll add a sludge wash (this is a new step for me and I'll use it only if I think it's needed, like on a light coloured vehicle), then a filter or two.
Then I'll add any final details that I think would look good, more chipping (not chip is too small), rust stains, rain streaks, oil/gas stains.
Then I'll do my pigment work. That usually completes the build, unless there's a diorama.
If there is then I need to do weathering that will tie the vehicle to the diorama. They have to match.
The vehicle should sit in the diorama, not on the diorama.
You want it to be a part of the ground.
So you have to match the weathering and make a depression (small or big depends on the vehicle and the terrain) for the vehicle to sit in.

That's pretty much my build sequence after the base coat and the primary colours are on.
Hope that helps Sebastian.
It's not what everyone does, but it works for me. :D

Looks really good, one thing I really like is the sort of splodge effect of the paintwork (whether by design or airbrush issues) as it gives the vehicle a real desert worn look :th:

I've never used an acrylic wash, so I don't know what it will do. My washes are all oils.
I'll be interested to see how well they work. You should experiment a bit first Sebastian, just to get used to them. :th:

I have used Acrylic washes but usually to dirty a shiny white gloss finished build to dull and tone it down.
Same method as Oil washes but mix acrylic.
As far as I am aware though, rule of thumb is to use the opposite to the paint or finish used?
So Oil finish, acrylic wash..... Acrylic finish, oil wash so as not to disturb the finish by using its main thinning agent.
You are cracking on with the build though Schoof, I'm well impressed mate. :th: :th: :th: :th: :th:
She's a beauty.. :thumb1:
:cheers2:
Just a thought.... why not mix up some powdered chalk pastels and some mineral spirit/white spirit/terpentine and wash with that?
Plenty of How-To videos on You tube?
Good luck mate, well done...
