a few questions

a few questions for everyone as I've previously only used games workshop paints.

can I use humbrol gloss over vallejo acrylic paint? just want to check before I varnish the a10.
also I have some ak pigments do I have to use their pigment binder to get them to stay in place or can I use a varnish mixed with it?

I use humbrol clear over model air all the time.
