Which Mustang

Post by Lynx »

I am looking for my next build. I fancy building a North American P51-D Mustang in 1:48 scale. Does anyone have any ideas on what is the best kit to go for? Are there any Mustangs out there which are new moulds?

I think Airfix has the only new tooling, as for what's the best, well that's very subjective!

Meng have also released a new tool P-51D in 1/48. It is a very interesting kit as it can be made without glue. I have one in the stash and it is as detailed as any kit out there yet cement free. Amazing engineering. You can of course use glue if you want. Meng 3d scanned an actual Mustang so the kit is very accurate.

There is also the new tool Revell 1/32 P-51D which is a superb kit (also in the stash).
