Spilt CA

Post by HighlandPark »

A bottle of Bob Smiths CA fell over in my toolbox. It was a few days before I discovered it so I now have a solid chunk of glue on the bottom of the toolbox. Any recommendations on the best way to get this off as it's taking up an area in the box that I can't really use now

Oh shite

What material is the tool box?
I don’t thing the releasing agent will get it all
I would be after it with a chisel to split it up...and wear goggles and the chunks will irritate your eyes

It's a cheapo B & Q black plastic thing so probably best to buy another one.

if you can get a knife or chisel under it, might come off in one piece. Even flexing the plastic tool box may cause it to release. If it is one of those boxes that has those small compartments then that maybe truly difficult.
