I finished this kit and display base this week, its a weekend version of Eduard’s excellent Mk.IV Spitfire, one set of markings, which I didn’t use as I used a Montex mask set, and no stencil decals.
This was my first ‘in flight’ aircraft and when I saw a photo of Rolf Arne Berg’s aircraft I just had to build one!
KIT: Eduard ‘weekend’ Spitfire Mk.IXe
PILOT: JP productions RAF pilot
MARKINGS: Montex
PAINTS: Alkan, Mr Color, Tamiya, Ultimate/Stynylrez primer, vallejo

Been working this week on a Friday Night Live Prize. Got started as soon as the 1/35th Asuka Firefly arrived. So far it lives up to what everyone has been saying. It is a very good kit. Lots of detail. The PE is not as difficult as I expected. Doesn't look like it from this angle but there is a lot of work done here. A ton of small parts on the rear and in the suspension parts. Thanks again guys and especially Frey at Model Emporium.

Here at last is the completed Eastern Express 1/144 Fokker 50 adorned in Skywest livery with decals from Southern Sky Decals. Both the kit and the decal sheet fought me every inch of the way on this one and I think it might be a points decision to the kit. My new laser printer got a good workout on this one resizing some of the decals which were then printed on white decal sheet. Apparently the decals were designed for the Welsh Models Fokker 50 kit rather than the Eastern Express one and had to be resized about 15 per cent smaller to fit on this kit. The main colour all over is Tamiya Pure White over Tamiya White Primer.

Evening fellow plastic cutters!
This week I've been carrying on with the 1/72 Fujimi MiG-29A Fulcrum which my Dad has asked me to build for him.
He thinks he's paying me for it but has no idea it's a birthday present! SURPRISE!!!!!

The paint work is Vallejo Model Air:
71.289 US Dark Green
71.016 USAF Olive Drab
71.023 Hemp
71.274 Aggressor Grey
71.109 Faded P.R.U. Blue
71.053 Dark Sea Gray
71.057 Black
71.063 Silver
I used bluetac to mask the camo and it's turned out ok which is surprising as I've not tried this before and I like doing it as it allows you to use really cheap rubbish masking tape and still have a good effect.

Have a great show guys!

Finished the Hobby Boss King Tiger 1/35.
Really enjoyed this lengthy build! Excellent kit for the money with nice detail and no fit issues at all.
Primed with Ultimate Oxide Primer
Base coated with Tamiya XF-60 and camo from Rotbraun and Dunkelgrun Mr Hobby Aqueous.
Assorted washes and pigments and oils from MiG and AK.
It's been a learning experience from start to finish...

1/32 Revell Westland Lynx Mk.8
This is the new release of Revells 1/32 Lynx Helicopter, real good value for money kit, no issues other than seam line clean up on some parts, started this on Monday and it builds quickly, going to push through with this one as I already have the paints for it.
I still refuse to endorse any Ultimate products within my pictures.

Hello there!
As Paul said there is no excuse not to post on this new lovely forum so hre i go!
Now i present you my first build of 2019!
Its 1/72nd P-47D Thunderbolt "Bubbletop" from Tamiya with eduards PE set for "Razorback" version (there is just 4 more pieces in Bubbletop´s difference so no biggie).
I was amazed by the kits detail as it was my first Tamiya plane, build was so smooth i used close to no putty at all! But the hardest part for me that i prepared for myself was nosecone checkerboard pattern that i had masked and aibrushed and had to do it twice as i sneezed and spilled some paint right on it but i was able to redeem it!
Primed in AmmoMIg one shot primer black, Painted with MR Metal colour Aluminium, chrome silver and Mr Colour Interior green, Tamiya XF-1 and 2 and AmmoMIg dark olive drab sealed with X-22, panelined with AmmoMIg Blueblack paneliner and sealed with Vallejoh matt Varnish.

Well this week Mathew, work has been slowed but got a little time to play with my Huey.
Seat belts made from Aizu tape and PE buckles set and added for detail as the old bird will be a wreck. Body base coated in Ultimate black primer,Olive Ultimate primer and then finished with Model Color 975 Military Green. (Best match using the modeller toolkit on the forum)

.
Instrument panel Ultimate primer black, dry brush model color 986 Deck tan and then a few water colour pencils used to create interest with a final touch of Tamiya X22 Clear.
Loads still to do but happy with the base of it, Sorry Dan about the length of this but sometimes just got to strap yourself on and crack on......!

It's my model and the rivet counters can go jump.......
I'm calling it done on the 1/72 Hasegawa (no Dan, that's not how you pronounce it

) F-15E Strike Eagle. Primed in Ultimate Grey Primer and sanded to hell and back with Ultimate sanders/buffers. MRP-040 Dark Grey all over with Accurate Decals aftermarket to depict a Lakenheath bird - note to all that Accurate Decals is a misnomer! Clear coated with Aqua Gloss and weathered with Ultimate Dark Dirt wash and Abteilung 502 oils and finished off with Testors Dullcote.
The End (thanks for looking).

Good evening gents.
I have started drilling out all the holes for the fibre optics to go in. Its the Revell 1:2700 Imperial Star Destroyer.
I have done a couple of hundred so far and got a few more hundred to go. Its slow going and at times soul destrying but will be worth it in the end (i hope). Going to be hiding in the shed from the outlaw this weekend so hope to get a lot done. Have a great weekend.
