You need to host them somewhere online... Imgur, shutterfly, etc... Then you can copy the "image location" link and paste it when you click the image button (has the little mountain with a sun on it) whilst posting. should look like :

[img] web address of your hosted image [ /img]

I use shutterfly, it's free and easy. Some places aren't free. You can even use the Google Photos one. Please post again if you're still having trouble after finding a site to upload your photos to.

Meant to add, I don't believe that you can post pics directly from your laptop to this site, they would have to have an album feature or something (basically a way to upload and store your photos here, where you could then share them in a post by using the url, or web address, of the hosted photo on this site).

Hence, the need to host (upload) them to a hosting site. Basically, here you are just posting a "link" where your photo is stored (hosted) online. Hope that helps, and once you do it it's really easy. Sounds WAAAAYY more difficult than it actually is.

Some hosting sites are actually integrated with the forum. Here's a thread about how to use that feature viewtopic.php?f=16&t=25080

By far the easiest method. I do it all from my phone - take the photo, upload it to Flickr using their app, add it to a post on here within seconds.
