Intro...

Post by RangerNeil »

Hi all,
My name's Neil and I'm just getting back into the hobby after a (large) number of years away. Primarily my interest is in 1/35 - helicopters and military vehicles - the large number of years having been spent playing with the real things!
So for my first build after the absence I have picked on the Tumpeter Hind-E. I've also got hold of the full set of Eduard photo etch packs to go with it. The plan is to complete it in a diorama depicting a Hind attached to the Soviet 40th Army at Bagram airbase in the mid 1980's. Going to take a while to do due to financial constraints but thats life!

If you keep building as March is a long way away. You can pack all builds into boxes with VERMICULITE and then it can be used in the garden afterwards. This will totally protect any models during transport and isn't too expensive.

Good idea!! I - think - though that she is expecting me to tidy this place up to sell. She gets very uptight if things don't go her way in certain areas - and I enjoy eating meals rather than dodging them!!
Going to look up the vermiculite anyway though to pack the existing models in so thank you very much for the tip there!!! :thumb2: :thumb2:
