Announcement!!!!!!!!!!!

As the last few weeks have only had 3 maybe 4 posts on here this is potentially the last time this will be posted on the forum it has been discussed many times about just posting on the Facebook group,it will be a shame if that did happen but we have to look at it as a whole and 3 or 4 posts just doesn't seem like people are that bothered about posting their work but the thread has loads of people looking at it just not posting,so this post is to try and encourage people to post or we will have to drop the forum post and just continue it on the Facebook group,so if you would like to keep this thread then please start posting if not then you can still post on the Facebook group it would be a real shame to loose the forum thread as its where ism was first born but as is the way things move on.

So in summary use it or loose it

Not done much modelling recently due to work but have been plodding along with Normans group build

Primed in Ultimate grey
Painted in lp paint olive drab 2
Still a bunch to do but liking it so far

I am still trogging on with both the Viper for the Sci-Fi build and the original Battlestar Galactica. Done more on the Viper this week so we'll go with that one.
Most of the modules are completed now and awaiting final assembly. But because I wanted to be a smart a**e and add lighting we've hit a bump in the build road. the VoodooFX lighting kits says leave the nose separate to get at the battery and possibly the I/O switch - but the nose is a loose fit and it looks like the viper is sagging if I do that so before I start cutting and soldering I want to find a way of having the power source and switch external to the Viper. Got a couple of ideas and Digger just suggested an inductive loop - about which I know nothing so more research is required.
This is the dry assembled modules - exhausts, intakes, under carriage and nose are all dry fitted so you can see how the kit will look approx once finished/ All parts were given a coat of Tamiya Fine Surface Primer (aerosol) , the exhausts and engine detail were done by brush - Vallejo "Oily Steel" with copper, red and yellow detailing and the aft body section, wings and intakes have a finishing coat of Tamiya AS-2 Light Grey (aerosol). The nose will get the same treatment once I get the LED in and the two halve joined.



I hope you keep this thread going as I don't use Farcebook over much these days!

Just to bulk out the forum entries in the vain hope this thread will continue, I give you my (lack of) progress on the 1/32 Tamiya F-15E Strike Eagle etc, etc. Primed with Tamiya Light Grey Fine Surface primer (decanted from the can) and the intakes top coated with MRP-40 which is FS36118.

Evening young Dan,

This week I've been pottering away on a Revell 1/72 Panther G. It's been a nice quick build with only a couple of minor issues, and has been thoroughly hosed down in Ultimate Black Primer and Vallejo ModelAir Dark Yellow. Hoping to move onto the camo scheme this weekend.

I finished my Tamiya 1:12 Ducati 1199 Panigale Tricolore. I used Tamiya lacquer and AK Extreme Metal paints. The clear coat is Zero Diamond 2K. I also used the Top Studio detail up set along with Tamiya's fork set.

I've been cracking on with the RC213V in 1/12 by Tamiya. Some tiny bits done this week. Got some PE added and the airbox on! Think the chain really pops!

Good evening everyone.

I continue to work on my 1/400 3D printed Soviet Energia Buran.

I had it primed and ready for paint but then dropped one of the boosters on the floor which broke it beyond repair, so had to print another (the broken one is hiding at the back out of view).

I need decals for this model and downloaded a scanned picture of a Buran 1/144 kit decal sheet that I edited and scaled. The plain paper tests fit pretty well and I’m looking forward to trying out laser water slide decal sheets for the first time.

I also found a nice 3D model of the train transporter used to move this vehicle to the launch pad. I think it would make a nice base but not sure if those tiny hand rails at 1/400 are pushing the limits of what my printer can do? We will see

Just about finished off, Tamiya 1/48th T-55 for Norman's group build. Made 100% Out of the box but didn't use the kit decals.Great mojo kickstarter, the kit built up easily. Highly recommended. Primed with Ultimate,Finished with old Hataka acrylics and light weathering with pigments & AK pencils.

This Corona time, my Nemesis has been Billing boats Marie Jeanne wooden boat. It's more or less ready now and I don't touch it anymore. It's not plastic, I know, but it's modelling so .
Billing Boats Marie Jeanne 1/50 (57*50*13cm). Wood, few plastic parts, glue and basic paints and lot of swearing with those ropes, strings or what they are called, I don't know, I'm not a sailor .
