my Harrier GR7 Lucy is now painted 2 tone grey, but the shades are really close so not sure if u can see the contrast,
want to finish this one before I get into my GB of an S
all the wheels on now and 1st coat of clear applied

The more the merrier, been a really nice build this one, some if the decal stencils are so small and grey so have dissapeared so didn't add them all but unless you had a magnifying glass you would miss them
But really pleased with this one, couple more decals, sidewinders and a coat of clear and it can join my others in the portfolio

bit of feed back please
i've been playing with the Hu Black enamel Wash this afternoon and would like your opinion on the two photos below
1, heavy wash - used a cotton tip to pull back the wash to give a grimey look - allowed to dry

2, light wash - model from photo 1 cleaned up using a cotton bud soaked in Enamal thinners to reduce the weathering to light showing panel lines

which do you prefer?
was my technique effective?
how could i improve the weathering?
and any other comments would be appreciated as this is a new effect for me (i'll say which i perfer later)

For me I prefer the second photo it looks much more nicer. Anyway love the technique I should try it on my planes too

For me it'd be halfway between the two. I like grimy looking planes but I think the first pic is a bit too pronounced. At the end of the day, it's what makes YOU happy that's right.

yep I prefer the second one, this is a new technique for me so still learning
thanks for the comments guys, I always built 'showroom' before but now seeing the merits of some weathering and enhancing
if you use the Humbrol wash make sure there are a couple of coats of clear added 1st or the thinners will soak through

Nice result either way though.
