1986 Tim Richmond #25 Folgers Monte Carlo | Monogram 1:24

After a few months hiatus, I decided to build this kit. I was cleaning up some of my old NASCAR model kits and caught the itch! The box was in pretty rough shape, but the parts are mostly OK with a few warps and bends. Should be fine, though!



Some body work. I usually don't do this, but I figured there is a first time for everything!

Engine started and come of the front suspension assembled.

Got paint and some wires on the engine. Also added paint to the tire letters and added more color to the headers!

The crushed box has claimed its first casualty. The windshield was warped and I broke it while trying to massage it. Trying to find a replacement.

First time making the window net. Used some thin masking tape and copper wire. It is sorta removable.

Got some paint laid down tonight! MCW Finishes Bright Red enamel sprayed beautifully. I’ll probably spray some Tamiya clear tomorrow and then start applying decals.

Added the gold stripe along the bottom and cleared with TS-13. Decals next!

Finished! The hood turned out darker than the rest, but oh well. I am very happy with it!
