First up is the Steel Rain SiG so my entry will be this on a transporter.

Tractor and transport trailer.

And this one for the 100 Years of Bombers GB with different markings.

Lee that Meng kit is lovely to build, nice and involved with great details. But its let down by the tracks. So I would strongly suggest getting the Friuil ones if you can.

For Steel Rain I will probably do this

And not sure about the Bombers one yet, might not enter that as I don't have a kit for it.

That V2 and transporter will be fantastic. cant wait to see that being built.

Anyone know if AA be allowed in the steel rain (I have a nice looking bofors in the pile)? After all, some of it came down again!

I'm busy with school for most of the year.. so I'll have time to participate in the builds over the summer.

For the Vietnam GB:

I don't have them yet, but I plan to buy them sometime.

For the unofficial Panther SiG, I have this in my stash:

And possibly this in the Bombers GB, which seems to be okay with some of you.. please don't egg me

but he has to build it him self tough my bench is to narrow i think
i have about a meter of working space and the dora is longer than that

Airfix 1/72 Concorde

I am hoping this counts.... As I already paid for it and its on it's way for the Artillery build.

Got some ideas for the 6 wheel build and the Shelf queen one. But still thinking on the Bomber one.. I think I am going to do a "hustler". The B-58 is one of my favorite's.

Well subject to the vagaries of time, mojo, substitutions and in one case getting a correct turret, the following is what I propose for this year.

Steel Rain SIG.

and this to tow it.

Nightfighter SIG

Vietnam GB - this depends if I can source the corrections needed.

If I can't I will skip the GB and put the following in the 6 wheel SIG.

Also I think I will have a crack at the Non Military Vehicles LTGB but I will have to find a kit that catches my eye for this one.

And (unfortunately) any of these would qualify for the SHELF OF DOOM LTGB but the Porsche Tiger and the T-55 and 95% built already so I think I'll go with the 1/48th Crusader and maybe the 1/72nd Brummbar...

This is my entry for Steel Rain. I'm going to do a kit review on my YouTube channel when the build opens. I haven't opened it yet, but I think there is going to be a lot of plastic in that box. As far as it costing so much to mail that large kit to Canada, it would be cheaper for you just to pay for a round trip airline ticket for me to come get it.

I will probably joint the civilian build and the WWI SIG too but not sure what I'll do yet. I have LOTS of biplanes but I fancy making a diorama out of the story of a Mk IV male tank 'Frey Bentos'.

Ian, sorry buddy that wee tank won't count for Steel Rain as that's not artillery. That's a tank destroyer.

Hook1169, same issue I'm afraid! The 6 pdr is an anti-tank gun, not an artillery piece.

My research says otherwise. The 37mm gunned TKS-D was a tank destroyer. the TK-D, though it used the same chassis was armed with the 47mm gun was classed as a light self propelled gun.

'In April 1932, the Armoured Weapons Construction Bureau of the Army Engineer Research Institute (BK Br.Panc. WIBI) in Warsaw, under direction of J. Lapuszewski, designed self-propelled gun on a tankette chassis, named TKD. Since there were no other suitable guns, a 47mm wz.25 Pocisk infantry gun was chosen for armament.'

Well that sucks. The description of the SIG says "Steel Rain - Artillery/SPG's/Cannons etc etc" Is this not a Cannon?

A Tank Destroyer is a mobilized piece of equipment IE Stug or Jagdpanzer.

I've been building this Tiger P kit at my club meets in small increment, but I've skipped a number of steps so I've got to go back and find what I've missed, and I've got to finish the suspension and the magic tracks that I stole from my Ferdinand kit

The Ferdie's got too much PE for me right now.

I didn't know it was rare lol I just know I got it for free

And my club members have too much in their stashes lol all four of those kits for the Shelf o' Doom were donated to me by one guy

Hook, no its not a cannon. The 6 pdr was a clear cut direct fire anti-tank gun. And therefore once mounted onto a truck its still an anti-tank gun, albeit mobile.

There is quite a distinct difference between anti-tank/assault guns and artillery. Sometimes they look very similar, but the role of these weapons is very different indeed.

Surely the more the merrier?

By "cannon", Lee means like a ye olde days artillery cannon from like WWI or earlier.

By "SPG", Lee means an artillery Self Propelled Gun, not the turretless/casemate TD SPGs.

By "Artillery", Lee means a gun that shoots indirectly at its target - ie at an upward trajectory.

Yes AAA (now).

Rocket Artillery such as a Katyushia or a V-2 rocket counts.
