1/32 scale swastikas

Post by chief5437 »

Hi guys, my revell arado 196 doesn't come with swastika decals (as per). I'm going to try and mask them. So just wondering if anyone knows, roughly what size they would be in 1/32?
:scratch::
Thanks!

Not at all. I'll check when I get home, but I'm sure I've got some spare 1/48 swastikas you can have, if you like?

Yep, got some in 1/48. Black ones and just white outline ones. How many do you need? I've got 4 in black and 2 in white. Pm me your address if you want them and I'll send them out post haste (the post with the most!) lol!

Cheers Paul, if you find one, just the overall height and stripe width should be enough to make a mask.

Thanks for looking :th: :th:

Hi all, I'm also in need of some 1/32 swastikas for my revell heinkel that I'm entering in the GB. Unlike chief I don't have the nerve/ability to mask so does anyone know where I can get some, only need two I believe, just for the tail. Thanks. :th:

You can get sheets of them from Hannants, (other shops are available!) but you'd need to buy a job lot, not just two. I'll have to get some for my He111 that I'm planning on doing for the bombers GB. I'll send you a couple if you like when the time comes. I'm just impatient to get the Arado finished, that's why I'm going to try masking it! Lol.

May I suggest the metal templates (stencils) from Alliance Model Works?
while quite pricey(specially the 1/32 set), they have all sorts of German stainless steel masks for numbers and letters, Balkenkreuz, Swastikas and other symbols.
http://www.am-works.com/store/aircraft- ... -3_15.html
At least you won't have to hunt around for swastikas decals as these are reusable.
They also offer sets in 1/35 for armor.

I hope this helps.
