A-10 Which kit

There is a cracking A-10 build on here and im in the market to get one but which kit just wondered if any of you have built either of these and tell me which one id the best




any help would help

If your bothered about accuracy the Revell 1/48 Thunderbolt is still the most accurate. But it has some fit issues, raised details etc. The Italeri and Tamiya ones are newer, recessed details but have some rather major shape issues in places I believe.

Plus, the Revell one can be had for a tenner..But although its very detailed, its all raised and makes cleaning the fuselage seam a nightmare.

I've heard very good things about the Tamiya A-10. Not built either yet.

Gav0909 is right, that A-10 is not only accurate but also fun to build. Moreover, it's a good sized model at 18 x 8 x 12 inches. I built it about 3-4 months ago and I loved it. It contained a vast array of missiles and bombs that were pretty diverse. Although I have not built any other A-10 kits, I would still highly recommend it from a personal experience.

I'll second Gav and Modelstudent, easy build, great price for a big kit. Just add plenty of nose weight!
