The mossie bite (NON ISM) SIG

Hi guys some of us were talking on Skype last night and we came up with an idea for a SIG on long the lines of the dangerous cat SIG that were are looking to run from the 1st of October until the 1st of March (this one is just for fun).

The subject is the De havilland Mosquito it can be any version any scale and any mark.

So if your interested put your name below there is plenty of time to get a kit if needed and we also have a few armour builders joining the fun so it open to everyone so come and join the fun.

Edit - Would just like to add this is not an ISM SiG (Lee)

That's the one I want to order to. ...... heard tamiya is great in planes and that one isn't that expensive

I already started mine...a Tamiya FB Mk.VI.....I'm ahead the game guys!

The Tamiya kit cost me $28.00 and is a great kit! Would be nice to have the after-market Merlin Engine sets and cockpit set....I'm building straight out of the box.

Looks like 633 Squadron is about to be reformed!

Or, I could throw his on the back burner until October and start something different related to one of the other SIG's or GB's?

But that's going to be tough for me...now that I've started and enjoying the build so far, I want to complete her. I managed to get a few hours on her today and put the wheel assemblies together and the sub-assemblies for the cockpit. I just gloss coated all the cockpit sub-assemblies ready to put washes on tomorrow, then assemble the cockpit. I'll put a new up-date video on here later tomorrow.

I LOVE Tamiya kits!!.....Nice details and the assembly fits are awesome! I wish that they made a 1/48 Hawker Typhoon with the D-Day stripes...that's the next plane that I want to build after my "Mossie". I guess I'll have to go for the Hasegawa option kit # HSG09059

Most likely I'd do the Airfix one as it would be more of a challenge compared to the Tamiya one. Having had a look at what's in the box I'd better start collecting some after market bits.

Sorry guys I've been so busy with work of late I haven't had time to get this SIG up and running. It will still be happening but not till next year I'm afraid when I get a better idea I'll will post here with dates.
