Hey guys! I'm gonna make a start on this tonight. I've got the KFOR version like Nige, still undecided if I'll use the dozer blade, it does look cool though.
I'll be recapping on all the other threads so hopefully I shouldn't have any problems. Famous last words, lol!

Anyways, couple of quick pics to start, box art (with drool) and sprues, a lot of plastic in there!

Let's get it on!!

Welcome aboard chief, Nige has the same version as myself and coen with the enhanced armour, all our kits have the dozer blade .

Hey you guys! First update, and all I can say is 'what have you gotten me into?!' Lol!

Here's a mock up of where I am at the moment. Gun, wheels and hull are just dry fitted in this pic.

The suspension arms have those keyhole type locating tabs. I was thinking, great, they'll all fit in just the right place. Wrong! None(!) of the wheels are in line, and half don't touch the ground! Some work to be done there then.

Next up is the gun mount, with the gun in a raised position (which I don't really like) it looks ok(ish), 1st pic. But with the gun in the horizontal there's a huge gap! 2nd pic. More work required there then.

Then onto the stowage bins!!! Let's just say, more work to be done there then! Lol!

Other than that, it's all going swimmingly...

I will say, this is the first modern armour I've done in many years, I don't even have any in this house, and I'm liking it! Love the size of these things, so all is forgiven! And I've got a cunning plan to cover (hide) the fit issues on the stowage bins

To tell the truth I'm really enjoying it. It's nice just build something without having to stop and paint it before you can move on.

Can wait to see what you come up with.

Same here nice to just battle through the build, although I have had to put it to one side to let the slow

So this is where I am now, all major construction completed. Ready for primer. Have to visit accurate armour for a couple of bits to help hide the gaps! This plastic is weird too, it won't glue together without a ton of poly and hours to dry for some reason! It's also very slippy, I can't tell you how many parts I've dropped, or the language that's followed!! Still, I'm really enjoying it, definitely getting another to go with my 43 in Iraq colours. Might wait to see what Gav's Tamiya looks like before I choose!

The Tamiya kit is a dream, when I built it before I had no issues at all. And things like the gap between the mantlet and turret is non-existant as that bit is actually vinyl in the Tamiya kit. It fits well, but its a bit tight so actually means that if you raise the gun, the vinyl tension pushes it back down. The gun has poly caps on as well, its all very nice!

The only thing I don't like about the Tamiya kit is the lack of anti-slip moulded onto the plastic, like the Trumpy kits have. So I will be spending several hours with the poly and a stiff brush adding it myself!

It does look slightly better, but I'm still going to cover all those gaps up!

Just a quick update tonight.

The 1/72 chally is finished

A nice, quick, fun build this. And distracted me from his annoying big brother!

Speak of the devil, this is where he's at right now. First round of paint done, but that's about it for now. Hope to get some more done at the weekend.

Thanks for the comments lads,

that 1/72 kit was real nice to build, might consider getting more of them.

Not much to show right now, got the main paint work done, gloss coat and decals on, and a wash.

Got a few details to go on, but waiting for a decision on cam nets before I add the sticky out bits!
Weathering up next, but that'll have to wait for the cam net outcome as well

Anyway, thanks for looking, try and keep up Coen! Lol!

Cheers Paul. If memory serves, I started with VA dark green, but that seemed a bit dark. So I went over that with a thinned VA armour green. The black is VA black with a few drops of white added in.

Hey guys!
Just a quick update this time, first round of weathering done. Gonna add some wet mud along the bottom of the side armour and wheels next. The 'yellow' dust looks more prominent in the pic than in real life, don't know why? Might tone it down a bit anyway. Hoping to try dunhills cam net technique as well, fingers crossed!
