Weirdest thing that happend while modeling?

Post by cameron123 »

So, what was the weirdest thing to happen to you while modeling?

Mine was when I got paint on my ankle while I was painting a Hasegawa Stuka don't know how it happened but it was a pretty big blotch.. :ooops:

Weirdest thing - happened 2 weeks ago, it was evening and during a thunder storm. I was fitting a tiny piece of model, when I suddenly thought to myself " I know what's gonna happen here! This tiny piece of plastic is going to ping out of the tweezers just as we get a power cut! "

Took an hour to find it when the lights came back on :o

Stupidest thing - Trying to superglue an elasticated antenna wire into place, holding the wire in tweezers it took what seemed like hours to get it into position. Then when I went to glue it, I found my other hand was super glued to the instruction sheet! So I called my wife, who lent over my back an placed a spot of glue on the wire. But when she tried to leave she found that she'd lent on the instructions as well and was stuck with me!
Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints!

I once finished a model that was weird.

All joking aside i used to model in a converted attic room at my mums as a kid and once around Christmas when i was about 15 i had a stash of beers :cheers2: i had taken from the family Christmas party and hid up there, i drank a few while painting my Lancaster bomber my Grandparents got me for Christmas and i fell down the hatch opening. Luckily i only sprained my ankle and got grounded for a week
On the bench is a Tamiya 1/32 F-14D Tomcat and it is the first model i have built since i was 14, back in 1995 :)
