Just doing the same car in Fujimi 1/24, it's good but this is something else! Excellent work, thank you for sharing your build.

  Assembly continues with the cockpit. Still more to add here like rivets and PE. The seats were painted charcoal grey and then the pre-glued sequins were attached to look like the real cars seat . The discs were there to try and keep the driver cool to try and get a flow of air through the seat as the cars ran very hot .Most cars had silver disc's but I have also seen gold discs too on some cars.

Interesting info about the seat rings...would think they would get hotter with a metal bezel like that
Anyhow, yours are looking great. Tedious work there

Love the high detail of the seats, supposedly the drivers said that the GT40 seats were the comfiest race that they had sat in yet they really don’t look comfortable at all haha

Great work so far Andy

:th: :th: Thanks everyone for looking in and your comments :thumb2: :thumb2:

@Bdiddy The drivers all sweated like pigs even with the sets as they are. The radiators are all at the front apart from the oil cooler. So two armoured pipes without insulation ran inside the central propshaft type console along the floor. These pipes being un-insulated radiated heat throughout any race slowly cooking the driver alive :eeek: :eeek: :thumb2: :thumb2:

  Made up the front radiator but did not glue in place as it will be a different color to the main body like the oil tank situated where the spare was placed. There are still some etch straps, pipework and fittings to fit at the front but there going on after paint. Added all the remaining etch and parts to this sub assembly so its now ready for paint, decals and 2k.
